What I Wore: Mission Possible

October 25, 2010 | by Fajr | What I Wore | 7 Comments

The Deets: Shirt: Vintage / Skirt: H&M / Shoes: Steve Madden

This weekend I ran away to Baltimore for a quick trip away with a few close girlfriends. It felt like a throwback college road trip; complete with car serenades, pillows and air mattresses! With no real purpose in mind, I got to catch up with friends I haven’t seen in months, eat amazing brunch, check out the Salvation Army and hit up Gabriel Brothers (a much better Kmart of the Maryland area) and we got some much needed dancing in, because see that girl, she is the DANCING QUEEN!

My “fashion mission” lately has been to work my collection of vintage clothing into my everyday wardrobe. While I love and  own so much vintage, I rarely wear most of it for fear that people may not “get it”. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that it’s futile to worry about whether people will “get you” and that you have to be yourself no matter what. So with that I’m devoting myself to taking my well-loved vintage out on the town and showing people exactly who I am, sartorially at least.

The Deets: Sweater dress: Vintage / Boots: Aldo

What “fashion mission” have you been working on lately?

Love the sweater dress! I’ve never done vintage, perhaps I should see what I can find.

Thanks! You should, there’s nothing like finding a great piece in a vintage store!

You look amazing in both outfits, but I am really loving the sweater dress! Where do you go vintage shopping?

Thanks gal! I go to a lot of places, but I live around the corner from a giant thrift store in Philly. So you know how I spend my Saturdays :)

My fashion mission is getting some cute and stylish winter clothes added to my wardrobe. Bonus points if they’re waterproof! (I live in Seattle). :)
