NYFW is like fashion on acid! Everyone’s style game is on a hundred thousand trillion and getting dressed is an Olympic sport. Since I’m living on limited clothing supply, I had to coordinate and plan my outfits, which I really dislike doing. But with my style themes in mind, I feel I packed some good options.
The Style Theme: Stylish School Marm
I imagine if I were a teacher I would dress really prim & proper and wear necktie bows and mid-length skirts. This outfit is my idea of what Teacher Muhammad would wear. I’d probably teach something like “WordPress 101″ or “How not to eat and get bloated before taking a What I Wore picture”. Oh well, guess education isn’t my calling.
The piece I love the most in this outfit theme is the vintage men’s vest. For the life of me I can’t remember where I got it, but it looks like an old men’s coat turned into a vest. I added the medal brooch and a red necktie for an added bonus. I also really love the cherry earrings, like I’m borderline obessed with them. They’re the right touch of cheeky and kitschy.

The kids in the background in the last picture could soooo be your students, you do look the part
Albeit a tad too sexy with those heels to teach in school, but looking lovely. I adore the skirt.
This is a hot for teacher look!
Looooove those stripes!
I love your stylish school marm outfit! Your polka-dot blouse is so pretty and I think the cherry earrings add just the right amount of fun =)
Aahhh you look so cute! I love it! Especially the red tie. that really sets the look off for me. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!
So retro, so vintage inspired and FAB! Loving that red lip on you – and the pop of yellow in the shoes.
Though I am proud to say that you and I BOTH are from Philly, you fit in so well in NYC!!
