Twitter is an amazing networking tool and when I began to follow The Fashionite little did I know that we would become fast friends, dishing our thoughts on fashion, our mutual love of Beyonce and our Virgo tendencies! I am extremely proud of her accomplishments and it is a pleasure to feature her!
“Fashion Therapy is dedicated to all the style Misfits who haven’t quite found their way through the exciting world of fashion.”
The Doctor is in and her name is R. Africa Wreh!. When R. Africa, a stylist and owner of the The Fashionite Society, a styling and image consultancy firm, sent me her new fashion/lifestyle book “Fashion Therapy” I jumped at the chance to read it. With nearly 10 years experience in the New York fashion industry R. has worked in every fashion position imaginable, from merchandiser, shop girl to trend consultant. She knows her fashion and has opened her office doors to counsel the style Misfits searching for their style way.
“Fashion Therapy” is a pocket-sized guidebook for anyone in need of style counseling. Each chapter is a “Style Session” and is full of advice, tips and worksheets on everything from upping your Swagger, defining your personal style, organizing your wardrobe and developing self-confidence. “Fashion Therapy” strives to build your inner beauty so it can shine through in your personal style. Whether you are a fashion novice or full out fashion lover, we can all use a little Fashion Therapy.
Check out R. Africa and Fashion Therapy at http://www.fashionitesociety.net and grab the book. It is must read!
I enjoyed “Fashion Therapy” so much, I wanted to refer you to my new therapist! We all have style issues from time to time and I would love to know:
“What is your biggest Fashion/Style issue and how are you resolving it?”
Currently my biggest style issue would be figuring out how to marry comfort with my love of eccentricity. 6 inch heels are not morning commute friendly! I’m learning that comfort is not a dirty word and that flats and jeans are a necessity and can still have the flair I crave!
Leave a comment with your style issue and enter to win a copy of R. Africa’s book!
