And the Winner Is…

January 19, 2011 | by Fajr | Books, Personal Interests, ST News | 2 Comments

ALEX!!!!

Alex won the “Fashion Therapy-The Style Within” book giveaway!  She answered the giveaway question: “What is your biggest Fashion/Style issue and how are you resolving it?”

“My current fashion/style issue is seeing what I adore online, in magazines, and in my head but keeping it there thinking I can’t wear that. Sequin jackets, brocade skirts, high heels, and big statement necklaces are pieces I love. Being in college I get caught up in wearing what’s typical of college students. I love high heels but common consensus say high heels are impractical for on campus. Then as well I don’t want to deal with the “why are you so dressed up?” questions. I am a fan of comfort but some days I do want to dress up jus’ cause. This year I plan on incorporating more statement pieces that don’t scream “college comfort”.

Congrats Alex!

    Hey Alex…
I’m a college student too and I totally agree that wearing heels on campus is impractical, but I could care less! I wear heels everyday, doll. Yeah, my feet hurt sometimes at the end of the day after shuffling from class to class, building to building, so on and so forth, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make. I just can’t live without heels!

Amber, I was the same way in college! I wore my heels faithfully and became known for it! College is the perfect time to experiment with your style. Thanks for the comment gal!
