When the Ball Drops: What to Wear on NYE

December 28, 2011 | by Fajr | Personal Style, What To Wear | 4 Comments

What to Wear NYE
They sure knew how to party in style back in the 60′s so what better way to bring in 2012 than draped in a gilded cocktail dress, a paper top hat and a pair of towering heels! Since every special occasion is an opportunity to get dolled up, a retro-style Biba cocktail dress is perfectly paired with a pair of black opaques and ruby drop earrings. Try a red glitter manicure in lieu of traditional gold and don’t forget the beehive hair, black eyeliner and red lip!

Grab your champagne flute and noisemaker and bring 2012 in with style. Don Draper look-a-like not included.

1. Biba Leopard & Metallic Dress

2. Miss Piggy OPI Nail Polish

3. New Year’s Eve Top Hat (available at any Party Goods store)

4. Steve Madden Suede Platform

5. Amrita Singh Ruby Earrings

6. Kate Spade Bow Bracelet

7. Topshop Black Opaque tights

Super cute look! Love the Amrita Singh Ruby Earrings -I think I’m going to invest in large stone earrings this season. I’m still trying to figure out what I’m going to wear on NYE- I know I want a dress (so over jeans!)- this has given me a little inspiration. :)

You made some really good suggestions! That gold dress is pretty awesome. Looks like you’ll be ready to be the life of any party.
