To My Mother,
Who is my mind’s twin and my soul’s anchor
Who listens when I cry and shields me from harm.
A woman who raised 5 children alone and showed me what the definition of strength is
Who raised me to be independent, self-sufficient and good to all people
Who taught me never to give up and to not wallow in pity
Who showed me my first book, put the pen and paper in my hand
Who lets me be me; with all the good, bad and indifferent
My mother, who supports me undyingly.
