Sometimes things just don’t go our way. Maybe you’re working hard and not seeing the benefits you’d hoped for or feeling confused about what direction to go in. Life is funny that way and we all get turned about from time to time. When things seem helter skelter and nothing is working, it may be time to take a hard dose of reality.
Lately, with all the things happening I’ve honestly felt a bit overwhelmed and as difficult as it is to admit, I have to take a dose of my own medicine and be real with myself about my life at the moment, what is working and what I must accept about myself.
I Hold these Truths to be Self-Evident that…
- Asking for help is not my strong suit
- I crave alone time… more than I think is normal
- My ridiculous Up All Night working hours are not well…working
- However, I feel guilty when I’m not working. This is clearly something I need to correct
- I must learn that sometimes Silence is Golden (it’s a process, I’m a Chatty Cathy by nature)
- Writing is and will always be my first love
- Taking care of myself must be Priority Numero Uno!
- I’m obsessed with the Internet (Yes I’m just NOW realizing this!)
- Stylish Thought is one of the best parts of my life
- My friends are truly gifts from God (and sadomasochist for putting up with my moods)
- I can be a raging bitch when I’m stressed…A MONSTER I tell you!
- I hate domestic duties (Isn’t Messy Virgo an oxymoron)
- Sometimes I get in this emo mood that only Mary J. Blige’s “Just Fine” can snap me out of
- Frugal and I need to get better acquainted
- Laughter is my vice of choice
- I’m my own biggest critic and sometimes worst enemy
- No matter how many times I doubt it, my entrepreneurial spirit won’t die
It’s not easy to tell you guys that I’m a messy Virgo with a stubborn streak but we all have simple self-truths that make us who we are.
Good, bad or indifferent it’s accepting these things that will help us better understand our strong suits and our weak points and propel us to change the things we don’t like, accept the things we can’t change and love everything else in between.
